Some people say that extrinsic motivators are not as powerful as intrinsic ones. I say this – the more reason you have to strive to accomplish something, the greater the chance of you taking action. The picture above is an image I took in the car park of a golf club. The car in the photo belongs to a world class professional golfer.

Motivation starts with ‘WHY’…

  • Why am I hitting shots in the rain?
  • Why am I playing the course the night before the medal when I should be out with mates?
  • Why am I buying this club when I could use the money to go on holiday?

Finding three, four, five…maybe six reasons why you are doing what you’re doing will help you open up a catalogue of motivational inner pictures. These snapshots will supercharge your brain and nervous system to continue to take action.

It doesn’t matter if those things are intrinsic or extrinsic. If they are meaningful to you they will help you move from point A to point B.

Find your why’s and hold on to them…
